Title : A tale of Mysterious Greenfield Woods

Sam hopes to meet Sophia again at Greenfield Flowers, a garden full of stories. What begins with playful teasing turns into a heartfelt love confession.

Greenfield Flowers was more than just a garden—it was the heart of Greenfield town. Nestled beside a serene lake, it was the perfect escape for joggers, families, and dreamers. For Sam, though, it was more than a hangout spot. It was the place he silently hoped destiny would lead Sophia back into his life.

The garden’s jogger’s path wound through blocks, each carrying its own charm. The first block, “Fun Time,” was filled with swings, slides, and the laughter of children. Watching them reminded Sam of his own childhood—both the innocent days and the darker memories he carried.

Jogging ahead, he found a field of red roses with benches circling a pond. Above it, the sign read, “Lovers’ Nest.” An elderly couple sat hand in hand, radiating warmth. The sight was beautiful, almost painfully so—it reminded him of what he longed for with Sophia.

Next came a dense block of bushes. The signboard mischievously read, “Enter at your own risk. Use protection.” Kids played hide and seek there, but the older crowd used it for games of a very different kind. Sam chuckled at the thought—if Sophia were here, he wouldn’t mind playing hide and seek himself.

Further ahead, laughter echoed. A group of people sat cross-legged, bursting out into loud, contagious giggles. The sign read, “Laughter is the Best Medicine.” Sam couldn’t help himself—he laughed along too. It was strange how happiness could feel so addictive, even to a man who often lived in shadows.

At the end of the path came the most breathtaking sight: an uphill lane bordered with orange and yellow flowers. They resembled a sunrise, making it feel as though one were running straight into the sky. The sign there said it all: “Paradise.

That’s when Sam saw her.

A figure descended the hill—not running but hopping playfully, like a rabbit dancing to an invisible beat. Her long hair bounced with each skip. Dressed in a green halter-neck top and denim shorts, she was impossible to miss. Something in her carefree style drew him in. Without realizing, Sam began hopping too, imitating her like a love-struck kangaroo chasing its mate.

She turned around, noticing him. Sam froze. But his legs refused to stop hopping.

“Excuse me,” she said with a playful frown. “Are you mocking me?”

Sam stammered, “Me? No! This is my jogging style.”

Her eyes narrowed, then lit up with recognition. “Hey—you’re the guy who was watching me dance in the rain the other day. Sorry, I forgot your name.”

Her words struck him like lightning. She remembers everything—the rain, the way I stared, maybe even my shoes—but not my name? Sam smirked inwardly and played along.

“I’m sorry,” he said, feigning ignorance. “Have we met before?”

She crossed her arms. “I’m Sophia. You met me four days ago. You were watching me dance in the rain.”

Sam’s heart pounded. Four days. She remembered the exact number of days—but not my name.

Before he could reply, four more girls appeared, her friends. They surrounded Sophia like protective kangaroos. One of them, barely four feet tall but fierce, marched up to him.

“Are you stalking Sophia?” she demanded.

Sam tried not to laugh. “No, madam.”

“Were you troubling her?” she pressed.

“No, madam. And… who’s Sophia?” he teased.

“Just a stranger,” Sophia interrupted sharply. Her voice was cold, almost irritated. Not even he—she had referred to him as it.

Sam’s heart sank. For four days, he had been dreaming of meeting her again, planning how he would confess his feelings. But her response revealed she had been dreaming too—and his act had hurt her more than she could admit in front of her friends.

Tears welled in Sophia’s eyes, though she tried to hide them. Her friends were confused, but Sam knew exactly why she was upset.

He stepped forward, only to be blocked by her circle of friends. “I need to talk to Sophia,” he said firmly.

“But I don’t want to talk to you, Sam,” Sophia whispered, her voice trembling.

Sam froze. She remembered his name. She had been thinking of him all this time.

The weight of her silent pain broke him. “I’m sorry,” he said. “I’ve been a jerk. I’ve spent these days dreaming about you, and hurting you was the last thing I ever wanted.”

Sophia turned away, but her tears betrayed her. Sam stepped closer, gently pulling her into his arms. He whispered, “I love you.”

Sophia whispered back, “Sam, are you scared of saying it out loud?”

He didn’t hesitate. “I AM DEEPLY, EMOTIONALLY, LOGICALLY, DEADLY IN LOVE WITH YOU, MISS SOPHIA!”

His voice echoed across the garden. Sophia’s lips curved into a trembling smile, her tears glistening in the sunlight.

“You’re an idiot, Sam,” she said softly. “How can you deadly love someone you’ve only known for four days?”

“Because,” Sam grinned, “your deadly smile could kill any living thing. And I’m just an ordinary guy—I had no chance but to fall for you.”

She tried to look away, but his gaze pulled her back.

“Sam,” she whispered nervously, “stop staring at me like that.”

“I can’t,” he admitted. “I’ve tried, but I can’t.”

For the first time, Sophia didn’t argue. Instead, she introduced her friends. “This is Leena, the strict one. And this is Sam.”

Leena stepped forward, glaring. “Yes, we know. If you ever hurt Sophia again, I’ll kill you myself. And I mean it.”

Sam raised his hands in surrender. “Yes, madam. I’ll never hurt her again.”

And just like that, amidst laughter, tears, and a garden full of flowers—Sam and Sophia’s story began.
